Stokesley celebrates World Gin Day!

Whittakers Gin

Chapter’s Deli in Stokesley is hosting a special event to mark World Gin Day this Saturday, June 11th.

Earlier this year ‘The Deli’, as the bar and restaurant is known, became one of the first in Hambleton to offer a specialist selection of worldwide gins with over 25 different gins and a variety of its own gin-based cocktails on its new menu.

To celebrate World Gin Day, The Deli will have a ‘buy-one-get-one-free’ offer on gins from Yorkshire, including Mason’s, Whittaker’s and Northern Dry Gin.

The Deli is also known for its ‘gin flights’ for customers to try a range of unusual local and global gins such as Death’s Door, Monkey 47, Rock Rose, Gin Mare, Sipsmith, Sikkim and many more.

Jake Taylor, manager of Chapter’s Deli, said: “Gin is a massive trend at the moment and our customers are demanding a more discerning range so we’re constantly increasing what we offer to give people the opportunity to sample exquisite gins from all over the world.

“However, here in Yorkshire we have some fantastic gin distillers so we thought World Gin Day would be an ideal opportunity to celebrate that and let people sample some brilliant Yorkshire gins with our special offers.

“Until recently, gin and tonic was seen as quite unfashionable but now there are some unique gins available, each with their own taste. Also, we pride ourselves on the way we serve a gin and tonic- forget ice and a slice, we serve ours with orange peel, pink grapefruit, edible lavender, juniper berries or black pepper in a proper Spanish-style ‘copa’ glass.”

The buy-one-get-one-free offer runs on Saturday June 11th between noon and 11pm and is valid on Mason’s, Whittaker’s and Northern Dry Gin gins.

The Deli is open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, homemade cakes and scones, lunch and dinner, cocktail happy hours and Sunday lunch.
