Stokesley Parish Council is inviting people to attend a special session hosted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to learn basic life support techniques and also how to use the town’s newly-installed automated external defibrillator (AED).

On Tuesday 28th June, Yorkshire Ambulance Service will hold an awareness session at Stokesley Town Hall between 7-8.30pm

The AED is located by the toilets on Stokesley High Street and is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest, a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, and can save lives

If you would like to attend please contact Julie McLuckie, parish clerk, on 01642 710270 or clerk@stokesleypc.org.uk
