Hambleton District Council’s top business event will return for its fourth year this May.

Following the success of the 2015 Hambleton Strategic Business Forum, this year’s conference looks at how business and politics currently work- and should work- together

Anna Addison, from Anna Addison Associates and co-founder of Thirsty Thursday, is hosting the event with MP Kevin Hollinrake taking the lead in the discussion.

This is an opportunity to discuss and challenge what central and local Government can do for business- especially local and rural businesses.

Kevin is joined by Richard Menage, Chairman of International Textiles and Plastics based in Easingwold, who will share his views on whether Government and business work together for mutual benefit, whether Government provides real support for business and also whether businesses should be left alone to pursue their own interests.

The event is sponsored by the North East Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses and takes place at The Hawkhills in Easingwold between 0900-1440. Tickets are £6.50.

Anna said: “Not only is this a chance to hear some interesting views and plans about business and Government, the conference is also a brilliant opportunity to meet other Hambleton businesses who all face similar challenges. This is the fourth year of this event and I am really keen to encourage companies- of all sizes- from Stokesley and the surrounding area to come along as this part of Hambleton is often under represented at such events and we’re a hotbed of thriving businesses.”
