‘Pure’ success as celebrity brand names Hambleton hairdresser’s as best in business
A Stokesley hair salon has been named as the best in the region by a world-leading supplier.
Label M, a professional haircare brand started by Toni and Guy’s founders, recently named Pure as its best performing hairdresser’s in the North East and North Yorkshire.
The brand, famous for being the official hair care product used at London Fashion Week, is used around the world by leading hair stylists. Pure uses a range of the products with its clients in Stokesley and has now been recognised as one of the brand’s top businesses.
Last month Pure, on Stokesley High Street, celebrated its second year in the town and has started a period of recruitment thanks to faster than anticipated growth.
Ben Middleton relocated to Stokesley from Brighton with his wife Naz, who is originally from the North Yorkshire market town, to establish Pure following a successful career in London and the South East.
Ben, who himself was well-known as Toni and Guy’s youngest ever franchisee in the 90s, has over 20 years’ industry experience having worked with many celebrities and well-known names for magazines both in London and in North Yorkshire.
Pure launched with just two members of staff and the salon now has a team of five with plans to double this in the next year.
Ben and his team style hundreds of clients each month, well above the average for the size of the salon, and the business is now creating new roles, including opportunities for senior stylists, stylists and apprentices.
Pure provides a range of services for ladies and gents, working closely with Label M and their styling teams in Manchester and Newcastle to provide ongoing training and development.
Speaking about the accolade from Label M, Ben said: “Label M is regarded as one of the hair industry’s very best brands as it was established by the founders of Toni and Guy, Toni Mascolo and Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, who are very prominent figures.
“For a relatively small, boutique hair salon, being named as Label M’s best performing business in our region is a fantastic boost and I was really surprised. I’m so proud of the team at Pure who always go over and above and it’s the start of a really exciting period of growth for us.”
