Hambleton Business Conference – Did you make it?

Last week the Hambleton Business Conference was held in Easingwold and was well attended by many local businesses from the five markets towns and it was nice to see so many friendly faces from Stokesley.

We were both delighted to be part of the action this year, with Anna again taking on compering duties for the conference and this year was joined by Sue as one of the masterclass speakers.

The focus was on Hambleton market towns this year  and the other speakers in attendance were Johnny Hayes MBE, who was very inspirational about his work with Bishy Road in York, winner of the coveted Great British High Street Award and by Michael Weedon who spoke about the statistics we all need to know relating to market towns, high streets and much much more. These were followed by David McKnight the Council’s Vibrant Market Town Officer who provided a town by town breakdown of the future plans.

The event was really well attended and it was nice to share some time with lots of business minded indviduals and organisations.

Congratulations to the Hambleton District Council Business Support team for their hard work on the day and we are sure the event will continue to be a great success in the years to come.
